I'm very sorry for the late update on Merlin. The boy actually saw the vet quite a few times.
The first time Merlin saw the vet was on June 7, 2022 after he arrived because the pony Zeke he came with got sick. That day he had a physical exam and an SAA done (blood test to see if he's got an infection going on.He also got a dose of Excede injected to be on the safe side.
On June 17, 2022 he saw the vet again. That day he got vaccinated and his eye examined.
On July 07, 2022 we did a cushings test which came back positive so we started him on Pergolide. We took some radiographs of his front feet to see if there is any rotation going on in his coffin bone, which at some point he did ever so slightly. He also got his teeth floated and sheath cleaned.
Otherwise he settled in nicely. Merlin is very outgoing and the first one to greet you at the gate. I had to clip his coat back in June because of the temperatures. He's got a beautiful trot and I'm looking forward to working with him. I just haven't done it yet because I want his body to get the chance to get used to the meds. At some point I have to take him to MSU to see an opthamologist.
His vet bill on June 07 was $145, on June 17 $$181 and on July 07 $590
