Jasper
Est.2010/2011 - + January 31, 2024
On January 31.2024 our hearts broke in pieces.
Everything was normal and nothing out of the ordinary. Jasper was being his usual self, just playful and always wanting attention.
I was cleaning the stalls and I took the wheelbarrow outside to dump it. Jasper came up and I gave him a kiss and told him he's going to get a good brushing today and off I went to clean the next stall. Not even five minutes later I came out and I saw Jasper, his left front leg just flapping.
I knew instantly that he completely broke his leg. He was in such distress and I called the vet right away.
Luckily he didn't have to suffer very long because the vet arrived at the farm 20 minutes later and we put him to rest.
It completely broke our hearts because it was so unexpected and everything changed in less than 5 minutes. Jasper was picked up and cremated and his ashes returned to us to be spread on our hill,
his final resting place.
We miss him terribly! He was just such a sweet boy with a great and fun personality.
